National Media Awards 2010 The Bord Gáis Energy National Media Awards 2010 is aimed to duly acknowledge and recognise excellence in the Irish media and reward Irish Journalists whose commitments to excellence best informs the Irish and the nation.
The award winners are chosen on the basis of journalistic excellence. This varies according to individual categories, but in general, criteria include newsworthiness, research, writing, production and creative flair.
